Davi's POV

I first met Sarah when I was pursuing my master's degree at Newcastle University, UK, in 2017. I saw and even talked to her during freshman orientation in September. I was so excited. Unfortunately, I didn't know her number. All I knew was She's Indonesian too. Later that week, we met again at an Indonesian Student Association event. Luckily, I found out that she was single at that time. I even try to keep a conversation going. At the time, I was confused as hell as it almost all of my friends were also her friends.

I asked a friend of mine to set me up on a date. She said yes a dozen times, but timing is a real b*tch. Being a gentleman, I decided to try my luck, and it turned out quite well. I took her out for dinner and watched a movie for our first date in Newcastle, and I asked her to be my girlfriend in Winter Wonderland, London. That was the beginning of everything, and the rest is wonderful history.

Three years into our relationship, I asked Sarah's parents for permission to marry her, and Alhamdulillah, it was granted! I finally proposed to Sarah a few months after that, and she said yes!!! We are so happy to start a new adventure together.

We can't wait to celebrate with you at our wedding ceremony and reception in November!

Sarah's POV

I first met Davi when I was pursuing my master's degree at Newcastle University back in 2017. Unlike Davi, I didn't recall talking to him during freshers. All I remember was meeting another Indonesians (yes, there were 2 Indos at the time). Fast forward, we met again at an Indonesian Student Association (PPI) event. I was forced to say I was single at the time as it was part of the intro. Again, I didn't recall talking to him.

I minded my own business until one day I got a DM (very millennial, right?). I took a peek at his profile and tried hard to remember who this person was. Like a eureka moment, I remembered. Oh, this is one of the people I met at PPI. Being friendly, I replied to his DMs. Oh Sh*t, he asked me out!!! IDK what to do, I don't like him, but I'm scared I'll look too cocky if I refuse. So I said yes. He took me out for dinner and watched a movie; it was horrible. We walked all the way through, and the restaurant was closed. Instead of choosing a nearby restaurant, he asked me to walk (again!) into a dark alley for a Japanese restaurant. I was scared for my life.

At first, I didn't see him as a partner. I thought of it as just a nice companionship. However, he was very persistent and patient. He'd come over every day, amid the snow, just to see me. He helped with my chores, too. I guess hard rocks did get hollowed out by soft water.

Three years into our relationship and having passed each others' ups and lows, we decided to get married. Of course, with a proposal to officially start the wedding frenzy. We are so happy, and we can't wait to celebrate with you at our wedding ceremony and reception in November!
